Atlanta Police have made an arrest in connection with the death of a 28-year-old mother of two found dismembered beneath a southwest Atlanta home.

Gordon Davis, 51, was taken into police custody on Thanksgiving Day, police officials said, weeks after investigators were led to Ayesha Turner’s remains.

Turner was reported missing in early October. Police investigators looking for her in the 2000 block of Cascade Road were directed to an abandoned home where her remains were found in pieces, authorities said.

She died of blunt force head trauma, Fulton County Medical Examiner’s officials said.

Davis remains in the Fulton County jail without bond on murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery charges.

The investigation continues.
