Armed robbery suspect led Starbucks employee to cash drawer

He was dressed in all black with his face covered, and when Starbucks employees arrived at work Tuesday morning, he was waiting, according to Brookhaven police.

“Once they began to unlock the doors, the suspect pulled a black handgun and forced his way in to the business,” Major Brandon Gurley said.

Inside the Druid Hills Road coffee shop around 6 a.m., the man led an employee by the arm to the cash register, surveillance pictures showed. The man was able to get an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the Starbucks, according to police. No one was injured.
