A Cobb County mother and her two toddlers were found in South Carolina after the GBI issued a Levi’s Call on Monday afternoon.
Yajaira Lira Ramirez, 23, and her children, Scarlet Lira and Kael Lira, were found safe in Hardeeville, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Police are still searching for Josue Armando Portilla, 22, who is believed to have forcibly taken his children and Ramirez at knifepoint, Powder Springs police spokesman B. Dwayne Prosser said in a news release.
Ramirez and her children were able to separate themselves from Portillo and drive to a public place and call police, Prosser said.
“The Hardeeville Police Department and Jasper County dispatch center were key in locating these victims,” Prosser said. “The Powder Springs Police Department is grateful for the safe return of the victims and extends our sincerest gratitude to these professionals.”

Portillo was believed to be in a 2016 white Kia Sorento during the alleged kidnapping, according to Powder Springs police. It’s unclear if he is still in that car.
The alleged kidnapping happened at about 2 a.m. Monday in the 3700 block of Forest Hill Road, according to police.
