Two men accused of entering a home and pointing a gun at a mother and child while ransacking their home have been identified by Henry County police.
Arrest warrants were issued for Damarial Thomas and Julantee Alexander on Wednesday. The Atlanta men are accused of robbing the mother of three's home while her children called 911 from a closet.
Henry County police are considering the men armed and dangerous.
Thomas and Alexander allegedly broke into the woman’s home, held a gun at her face and fired a shot before demanding money. The woman’s purse, car keys and money were stolen.
During the home invasion, the two other children, a 7-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl, called 911 from a closet in their room. The 911 call wasn’t immediately available.
The alleged gunmen left in a now-impounded 2016 Dodge Challenger and ditched a backpack and three handguns in a neighbor’s back yard.
The family told Channel 2 Action News they don’t know why they were targeted. Police are hoping DNA will be on clothes left at the home.
