A brother and sister were arrested in connection with an overnight shooting at a Cobb County apartment complex, police said Wednesday.
Sharne Heard, 21, was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on a charge of tampering with evidence, Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Randy Heard, 23, was previously arrested on multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of criminal damage, one count of criminal trespassing and one count of possession of a firearm during a crime.
According to Pierce, officers were dispatched to a shooting at the Windwood Apartments in the 6900 block of Shenandoah Trail about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
When officers arrived, they found a man with two gunshot wounds in front of building 6912.
The man, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Pierce said.
“The investigation continues,” Pierce said.
