No foul play is suspected in the death of a 21-year-old Georgia College student from Peachtree City, the Baldwin County deputy coroner told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Wednesday.

Lauren Gainey was found dead on Sunday in the hallway outside her apartment at Georgia College and State University, a public liberal arts university in Milledgeville, said Ken Garland, the deputy coroner.

A roommate found her and tried to revive her with CPR, but she was pronounced dead at the scene in the school’s Bobcat Village, Garland said. “She had some health issues,” he said.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation did an autopsy Tuesday, he said. Officials are still waiting on the toxicology report, a process which could take a couple of months, Garland said.

Her funeral is Thursday at First Baptist Church of Peachtree City, according to The Citizen, a newspaper and website based in Fayetteville.
