The woman walked into a local fast food restaurant Monday, police said, and requested a piece of paper. She then scrawled a simple — and distressing — message.
“… The woman wrote she was being held against her will and needed help,” Atlanta police spokesman Officer Ralph Woolfolk said.
Woolfolk said the woman entered the Wendy’s restaurant at 1940 Piedmont Road at about 11:45 a.m., delivering her message before voluntarily returning to a white 1997 Ford Ranger pickup truck. The vehicle had Georgia tag AZR1028, police said.
Few other details were available, but police are treating the incident as a suspected kidnapping. Anyone with information is asked to call the Atlanta Police Department’s Missing Person Unit at 404-546-5498 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
