Delta Air Lines is reviewing an incident in which a plane bound for Atlanta slid off a taxiway in snowy conditions at Pittsburgh International Airport.

The Pittsburgh airport said there were no reported injuries on Delta Flight 2231, which was attempting to taxi out before departure on Wednesday evening.

The plane’s 72 passengers and five crew members were safely shuttled back to the airport terminal, but their checked baggage was still in the plane’s cargo hold. Atlanta-based Delta said it will expedite checked bags to customers after the plane is moved.

Delta was still working to move the Boeing 717 plane from the side of the taxiway by Thursday afternoon. There was no impact to other operations at the airport.

Some passengers took an alternate flight to Atlanta on Wednesday night, while others flew out Thursday morning.

Delta said it is conducting “a full review” of the incident in coordination with the Allegheny County Airport Authority and others.

“We have been in contact with all customers and apologize for the inconvenience,” Delta said in a written statement.
