A Cobb County private school will remain closed the rest of this week after a water main broke and flooded part of the campus.

The ruptured pipe flooded a portion of the first floor at the International Academy of Smyrna on South Cobb Drive, according to a letter from principal Kari Schrock that was posted on the school’s website.

“School will not be in session on Thursday or Friday of this week,” Schrock said in the letter. “Currently, work is being done to extract the water and repair the water line.”

The school serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
