Seven people, including three children, are displaced and a dog was killed after a fire broke out at a home in Hall County, authorities said.

Hall fire crews were sent to the home in the 4700 block of Willie Robinson Road about 3:45 Sunday morning, Division Chief Zachary Brackett said. When they arrived, they found that about half of the 2,000 square foot home was consumed by fire.

All of the people who were in the home when the fire started were able to evacuate before crews arrived, Brackett said.

Firefighters worked for about an hour to put out the blaze. One woman had minor burns on her leg and hand and was treated at the scene, Brackett said. The deceased dog was found inside the house, he said.

The American Red Cross was notified to assist the family, Brackett said.
