A 50-year-old Auburn woman who has been missing since Sunday has been found, according to the Auburn Police Department.

Elizabeth Jenkins Burnam, known as Betty, was found delusional and disoriented in Tallahassee on Thursday around 6 p.m., according to police.

“She was hospitalized and reunited with her sister,” said Lieutenant Michael Fugett of the Auburn Police Department. Fugett said Burnam was taken to Tallahassee Memorial hospital.

“Miracles do happen,” Jayne Madigan, her sister, told the Gwinnett Daily Post. “Thanks to the incredible work of Lt. Michael Fugett and the City of Auburn Police Department.”

Burnam recently moved from Monroe and had not contacted her family since Saturday.
