You can keep dreaming about winning millions.

The Mega Millions jackpot is still up for grabs after no one matched Friday’s winning numbers – 09-23-27-49-51. The Mega Ball number drawn was 38.

But hey, that just means a bigger jackpot – with Friday’s estimated $173 million jackpot jumping to about $189 million in Tuesday’s drawing. The jackpot in the multi-state lottery game has rolled 18 times since July 30. A Mega Millions ticket costs $1.

Meanwhile, Carlton Davis, 49, a Suwanee computer analyst snagged a $1 million win from a Powerball drawing, according to a Friday press release from the Georgia Lottery. Davis matched the first five winning numbers from the Sept. 14 Powerball ticket to win his prize. He bought the winning ticket at Kroger, 3651 Peachtree Parkway in Suwanee. Winning numbers from the drawing were: 1-17-25-37-44 and the Powerball was 20.

“I looked at the numbers on the screen and on the ticket, and they looked alike,” he recalled. “I said, ‘Wow!’ I almost fell out. It was unreal, and I couldn’t believe it.” Davis intends to invest his winnings.

Today’s Powerball drawing is at an estimated $60 million. Powerball tickets are $2 per play.
