Gwinnett police are looking for a man in connection with an armed robbery and shooting at a Duluth apartment complex.
A 24-year-old man said he was robbed and shot in the hand outside the Bridgewater Apartments on West Liddell Road on Jan. 6, shortly after 9 .m.
The victim said he was approached by a man who asked asked him for a cigarette. After he gave him a cigarette, the man pulled a gun and demanded his wallet. A struggle resulted and the man was shot in the right hand. The suspect fled the scene and took the victim’s wallet.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation worked with the victim to produce a sketch of the suspect.
There are no other known witnesses to this incident, but police said the victim described the attacker as a black male, about 30 years old. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 200 lbs., with scruffy facial hair, according to police. The suspect was last seen wearing a long-sleeve green shirt and dark pants. He has a deep voice.
