A driver was arrested after allegedly pulling a gun on a woman in another car and following her through Hall County.

Ryan Colvard Fleming, 33, of Mt. Airy, is accused of pointing a .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol at the woman after an argument in traffic Tuesday, Hall County sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Scott Ware said. The victim had two passengers at the time, including a child.

Ware said Fleming followed the car on Cornelia Highway with the gun pointed toward the woman. She called 911 and an alert was put out for Fleming’s vehicle.

Deputies located Fleming’s car and arrested him without incident, Ware said. A firearm was recovered, he said.

No injuries were reported.

Ware said Fleming, who was charged with aggravated assault, did not know the woman. He remains in the Hall County Jail without bond.

The incident remains under investigation.
