A College Park man was arrested in New Windsor, N.Y., after police say he drove drunk with a child in the car, according to a media report.

Marion L. Pope, 44, was pulled over for speeding Sunday, police told the Times Herald-Record. His 10-year-old was in the car at the time.

Police gave Pope a test that revealed his blood-alcohol level was 0.22, according to the paper.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony under New York's Leandra Law. The law makes it a felony to drive drunk with a person under the age of 15 in the car.

The child was turned over to a responsible party.
