The driver pulled over to the side of I-285 South between Chamblee Tucker Road and Northlake Parkway around 1:30 a.m. to wait for help, according to MARTA spokeswoman Stephany Fisher. Police for the transit agency said a person pulled up beside the bus and robbed the driver at gunpoint.

The bus was not in service at the time. MARTA police told AJC.com no further details would be released as the investigation is ongoing.
