A Clayton County crash left two people injured, authorities said Tuesday.
The wreck shut down the southbound lanes of Tara Boulevard at Tara Road about 2:30 p.m., Clayton County police said. The driver of one vehicle turned in front of the other, causing the wreck, Lt. Cherie West said.

Both drivers were taken to a hospital. One person was critically injured, while the other is stable, according to police. Eight days after the crash, troopers said the critically injured person is now stable.
The incident, which took place in a construction zone, shut down southbound travel for nearly two hours, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. At 4:15 p.m., police said the lanes are beginning to reopen.

Police are still working to investigate the cause of the crash. No other information has been released.
