Lady luck has smiled on a 22-year-old Atlanta woman who recently won $750,000 on a scratch-off game.

Shaniqua Maddox bought her winning Lady Luck 7 ticket at Pick N Pay, 1388 Joseph E. Boone Blvd. N.W. in Atlanta, according to Georgia Lottery officials.

Maddox, an inventory associate, credits an itchy right hand as her reason for stopping to play the lottery. She scratched the ticket while in the store.

“I was in shock,” she said. “I showed it to the clerk, and he said, ‘That’s it!’”

Maddox said she has no immediate plans for her windfall.

Earlier this week, a Dawsonville man won $7 million on a scratch-off ticket.

Gerard Kaizer bought his $30 Max The Money ticket at Leon’s Food Mart on Matt Highway in Cumming, Georgia Lottery officials said Monday. Kaizer claimed his prize Friday.

No details were released on Kaizer’s plans for his winnings.
