Students at a South Fulton elementary school are learning remotely because of a high number of COVID-19 cases.

Fulton County Schools announced that starting today third graders plus one kindergarten class at Wolf Creek Elementary School switched to remote learning. Those students are expected to return to the building on Oct. 13, after the Columbus Day break.

On Thursday afternoon, the district expanded the quarantine to include all students at the school. Those students in the school’s other grades will move to remote learning staring Friday and will return Oct. 6.

Wolf Creek reported 11 cases of COVID-19 among staff and students for the week ending Sept. 23, the most recently available data.

The school system’s districtwide numbers have fallen in recent weeks, with a total of 200 COVID-19 cases reported last week.
