A MARTA mobility van driver was injured Tuesday after a collision in southeast Atlanta, officials said.

The van was struck by a car and then slammed into a brick wall in the 200 block of Memorial Drive near the Memorial Drive Greenway, MARTA spokeswoman Stephany Fisher confirmed. No passengers were in the van.

The van’s driver was taken to a hospital, and Atlanta police said no critical injuries were reported.

A small section of Memorial Drive between Hill and Connally streets was briefly blocked off as police investigated the wreck.

Officials did not say what led to the crash or whether the driver accused of crashing into the van was cited.
