Atlanta police will canvass a neighborhood along Memorial Drive on Thursday afternoon, searching for clues in a mid-October shooting that left two men dead and another wounded.

Derrick McGinty and Michael Edwards were shot and killed shortly before 11 p.m. on Oct. 15 in a parking lot at Parkveiw Station Plaza in the 1800 block of Memorial Drive in southeast Atlanta.

A third man, John Kinlow, was shot in the leg.

Police will return to the area at 4:30 p.m. Thursday to conduct a “tactical neighborhood canvass,” according to Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones.

“Tactical neighborhood canvass is an investigatory tool that has proven to be a great addition to help detectives investigate cases with little or no leads,” Jones said.
