4 alleged carjackers caught in Clayton County

Four men accused of stealing a car in Fulton County were arrested Friday afternoon in Clayton County, police said.

Officers spotted the stolen white 1998 Honda Accord and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop, Officer Charlene Watson-Fraser with Clayton County police said.

When the Honda pulled into the Chick-fil-A parking on Ga. 85 in Riverdale, three men ran from the car, Watson-Fraser said. Officers caught all four suspects, who were arrested without incident.

The driver of the stolen vehicle, Cameron Pitts, 18, was charged with theft by receiving motor vehicle, obstruction, driving while unlicensed, reckless driving, financial transaction card fraud, identity fraud, theft of lost or mislaid property, according to police.

The three passengers were identified as Dauntavious Hardeman, 18; Deonte Eppinger, 17; and D’Antra Collins, 17. Each was charged with theft by receiving motor vehicle and obstruction.
