A woman died after a vehicle rear-ended a stopped MARTA bus in DeKalb County early Wednesday, officials said.

The bus was at a traffic light near Memorial Drive and Carter Road in the Belvedere Park area around 2 a.m. when the vehicle ran into it, a MARTA spokesperson said in a statement to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. A bus stop is located at that intersection.

Officials released few details about the incident but said the driver of the vehicle did not survive. The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Lucy Sanchez by the county medical examiner’s office.

Two occupants of the vehicle reported injuries, MARTA said. Their conditions were not disclosed.

No passengers were aboard the bus, but the driver also reported an injury. Officials did not specify that person’s condition.
