An agreement in the amount of $1,164,461 for design, construction documents and construction administration for a proposed cultural arts center was approved by the Stockbridge City Council at its Aug. 31 regular meeting. The contract with TSW, Inc. is being funded through the city’s SPLOST account and its scope includes construction observation of the project.

Council member LaKeisha Gantt stated that she was opposed to the measure because of a lack of knowledge regarding where up to $4 million in additional money needed for the project would be coming from. John Blount also voted in opposition. Information: cityofstockbridge.com.
