An expenditure of $396,526 for additional walking paths in the Fairview area was approved by the Henry County Board of Commissioners at its Oct. 5 regular meeting. The money will come from the county’s SPLOST account and is intended for walking paths that would connect the Fairview public safety complex now in development with Village United Park, according to a county staff report. Also approved for SPLOST funding was the $76,549 purchase of self-contained breathing apparatus air tanks for use by personnel at Fire Station 6, whose construction is near completion according to county officials.
