No quorum for Henry board meeting

The Nov. 3 scheduled meeting of the Henry County Board of Commissioners did not take place because there was no quorum. The first monthly meeting is typically convened on the first Tuesday morning of the month but was delayed one day due to the local elections. Board chair Carlotta Harrell was present along with commissioners Greg Cannon and Johnny Wilson, the board’s two lone Republicans. But Dee Clemmons, Bruce Holmes and Vivian Thomas did not attend, and there was no mention of any advance notice being given of their absence. The next regular public meeting is scheduled for Nov. 16.
