Crime may be up in and around much of metro Atlanta, but three Gwinnett cities are among the 20 safest cities in Georgia according to Safewise.
Previously at number one, Braselton is ranked as the third safest city in Georgia. Milton is currently ranked as the number one safest city in Georgia.
Suwanee moves up seven spots on the list to the number 13 spot, and Lilburn made a big leap from last year’s rank of 56 to the number 17 spot.
The data is based on reported violent crime and property crime rates. According to Safewise, “Georgians show a high level of concern for their safety on all issues we asked about. Of those who responded to our survey, 56% said they were concerned for their safety on a daily basis. Georgia is the second most-concerned state in the nation when it comes to package theft and police violence.”
