PAWKids will open Claudia's House on July 14 to provide cooked meals, food, hygiene products and more to residents of Grove Park. Grove Park has been dealing with food insecurity for years due to a lack of essential businesses like grocery stores and pharmacies, according to What Now Atlanta.

The organization, PAWKids, is a family enrichment center founded and run by Latonya Gates, and serves Atlanta’s Grovepark community.

Claudia's House came to fruition after PAWKids received a surplus of food and funds from local churches, nonprofits, businesses and individuals—including rappers T.I. and Killer Mike. Back in May, the Atlanta rappers partnered with PAWKids to serve food to Atlanta residents in the parking lot of Bankhead Seafood, according to previous reporting from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Meals will be delivered by volunteers to those who are unable to leave their homes. The food pantry will be open 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. To receive meals, Grove Park residents must visit the building and fill out an application.
