The week-long event in Tokyo celebrates the traditional Japanese kimono with modern styling.

Three models walk the runway side-by-side, showing front and back details of the beautiful kimonos on display.

"Kimono" literally means a "thing to wear." The traditional robe-like gown is worn by men, women and children. The kimono is always wrapped left side over the right, except when dressing the deceased.
