The tennis court in John and Jane Hall’s backyard was there when they purchased their home in 2012, and they’ve resurfaced it using Signature Tennis Courts, Inc several times since they moved in. John and Jane Hall worked with Josiah’s Remodeling & Repair Inc. to renovate their owner’s suite, restructuring their bathroom and creating new master closets. The renovation included new Carrara marble floors and tile from Floor & Decor and a new stainless steel wrapped pedestal tub from Signature Hardware. Jane found the screen behind the tub in a consignment shop in Chamblee, and decided the pairs of love birds it depicted were perfect for the couple’s bathroom. Before Jane and John Hall renovated their owner’s suite, their bathroom had no water closet or linen closet. Now the space that used to be John’s closet is a large walk-in shower with Carrara marble tiles from Floor & Decor; the space that used to be Jane’s closet is the water closet; and they both have large new closets with plenty of storage. John Hall found this piece of live-edge maple at an antique shop near the Hall family lake house near Murphy, North Carolina. He took that piece of wood and, with his wife Jane’s taste in mind, created a table for the kitchen of his Sandy Springs home, pairing it with a banquette from Ballard Designs Outlet to make a breakfast nook. When Jane and John Hall remodeled their closets, John decided he wanted to build the shelves and trim in his closet himself, and so he set to work creating custom shelving, hanging space and drawers. The guest bedroom of John and Jane Hall’s Sandy Springs home is filled with heirlooms and sentimental items, like the Oriental rug given to them by Jane’s father and the four poster rice bed that was the first adult bed that Jane ever purchased. A vintage Chippendale mirror inherited from John’s grandmother hangs on one wall, framed by ornate botanicals that the couple have collected throughout their marriage. The guest suite of Jane and John Hall’s home used to belong to their son, John Hall IV, but now it is claimed by their granddaughters, Ashlynn and Adyson. The girls’ artwork hangs on the walls, and they decided which pieces to frame and picked out the pieces they wanted to display. Shortly after buying their home in 2012, John and Jane Hall worked with Hortman & Associates to enclose a porch and create an office for John, and a few years later they worked with Josiah’s Remodeling & Repair Inc. to extend the space. John and Jane’s stepfather made the desk in John’s office themselves, creating a custom piece of cherry wood with a glass top from Binswanger Glass. A custom sofa from Lewis And Sheron Textiles upholstered with Kravet fabric is grouped with a Chippendale camelback loveseat, wing chair, small club chair and gooseneck chairs, which were all reupholstered in fabric by Kravet by Budget Upholstery, to create plenty of seating. A navy leather sofa from Hancock and Moore Furniture and gold club chairs from Century Furniture make up a cozy sitting area in the family room of Jane and John Hall’s home. The family room is open to the kitchen, making it easy for the couple to visit with family and friends when they have guests over for a meal. Homeowner Jane Hall had always wanted Carrara marble counters and backsplash in her kitchen, so when she and her husband John renovated their kitchen in 2014, they worked with Richard Hortman of Hortman & Associates to create the perfect kitchen for them, including Carrara marble counters from J C Marble & Granite. They used the custom kitchen cabinets that were already there, and added new pendant lights from Lowe's and one of their signature Oriental rugs, which they have throughout their home.
