Reclaimed barn wood, from Vintage Lumber Sales gives a rustic dimension to the basement ceiling. The feather art over the fireplace was purchased at ADAC.

Under-cabinet lighting highlights different areas of the kitchen based on where the homeowners are cooking or preparing their meals. An antique-style vanity and mirror create an aged, rustic look in the upstairs guest bathroom.

KEEPING ROOM: The cedar ceiling beams and stacked stone fireplace give this room off the kitchen a rustic feel. The comfortable cream sofas are piped in cinnamon. An Oriental-style area rug anchors the space.

GREAT ROOM: The drama of double-height windows and a soaring two-story ceiling is emphasized by dark brown floor-to-ceiling drapery panels splashed with rusty red florals. The Country French furniture, hand-painted chinoiserie armoire, plus glass and iron accents results in a comfortably rustic style.

A gorgeous carved armoire stands in the sitting area of Kevin and Latonda Henderson’s master bedroom. Originally purchased at No Mas! Productions 15 years ago, the armoire has served as a TV stand and a desk, and now it serves as a wine and coffee bar. When Latonda and Kevin Henderson bought their home in 2016, it hadn’t been occupied in about 20 years. They embarked on a full renovation, including knocking down walls from a previous partial duplex conversion.
