The master bathroom was renovated in 2000 with details such as marble countertops, tile with a Greek key design and pocket doors. A balcony was added, instead of double windows.

The master bathroom balances modernity with the past. The existing tub and the fireplace, now part of the oversized shower, join quartz countertops from Artistic Granite and Cabinet Designs and a rain showerhead by Delta. Brenda Hubbard’s newly renovated bathroom features a standalone tub from The Tub Connection and a crystal chandelier. The transitional-style room was designed by R. Stacy Harrell Interiors and completed by Lenox Renovations. The floors are tile that Hubbard says looks like marble while the colorful canvas art was a gift. In the renovations, interior designer John Banks selected white marble for the bathroom countertops and floors, and different floor patterns, like hexagon. The floral fabric and striped wallpaper are from Travis & Co.

The wall color in Walt Geer and Sarah Blackman’s master bath is Benjamin Moore Silver Bells — a fact that Sarah finds funny considering that the couple owns Santa’s Fantastical, an interactive Christmas experience. In 2019 Sabrina and Scott Serafin worked with interior designer Krystee Manifold Spencer of Wade Works Creative to give their master bathroom a fresh look. One change that saved money but didn't sacrifice style was adding vessel sinks to the existing vanity, which gave the bathroom a modern look. When William Treadwell and his husband Jesse Lirette began their home search back in 2017, the couple wasn’t able to find a house that everything they wanted. Instead of purchasing, they decided to build their own home and purchased a lot in 2018 in the North Druid Hills neighborhood Lavista Park.

One of the downsides of loft living, according to homeowner Poul Olson, is that some spaces are smaller than you’d like. To make his master bathroom feel more spacious he put in a floating vanity and frameless shower doors from Shower Doors by TJ.
