Photos: Atlanta couple customizes their townhome with modern touches

Nikki and Paul Crump bought their Atlanta townhome in January 2020. They were able to customize some aspects of the space as it was being built by Hedgewood Homes, so they haven’t felt the need to make many renovations. So far the only large thing they’ve added is the custom steel and glass doors in the foyer, which they had installed by Womack Iron. Paul and Nikki Crump worked with Dana Lynch Design to design their foyer, adding a chevron wallpaper made of a thin wood veneer on the wall opposite their front door and a stone top console table. Above the table they placed an antiqued 36-inch mirror from CB2, which gives the room a bit of visual space. Right off of the foyer of Paul and Nikki Crump's Atlanta townhome is a bedroom that the couple and their son use as a den. As the only living area in their home with a TV, the den is used as a wind-down space a couple of times a week. Furniture and a rug from RH give the room a cozy, sophisticated vibe. Paul and Nikki Crump have created a clean, neutral palette throughout much of their home, and in the living and dining room they’ve dotted it with greenery, which keeps the home feeling warm and organic. Paul and Nikki Crump are growing greenery over the wall in their back courtyard, and eventually when you look out into the space that wall will be covered in leaves. The surprising amount of outdoor space was one of the things that drew the couple to the townhome.
