John Lewis
PHOTOS: John Lewis makes final journey across historic Selma bridge
Georgia Congressman John Lewis made a symbolic final crossing of the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma Sunday morning on a horse-drawn carriage and caisson, providing what will likely be the most iconic images from six days of Lewis memorials. The procession began from Brown Chapel A.M.E. church, another important landmark in the violent 1965 voting rights march to the Selma bridge. Lewis died July 17.
