An 18-year-old died after he was shot inside a home during a domestic incident on Thanksgiving, deputies said.
The suspect, a juvenile, left the Forsyth County home on foot after the shooting with a 2-week-old baby that reportedly is his son, sheriff’s spokesman Doug Rainwater said in a news release.
The suspect surrendered minutes after the incident.

Shortly before 8 p.m., deputies responded to a 911 call in the 1200 block of Wondering Way in the southeast part of the county, Rainwater said.
They found DreLandon Brown inside with a gunshot wound. Deputies administered first aid and CPR to Brown, Rainwater said.
Brown was taken to an area hospital where he died, according to the release.
Residents of the home identified the shooter, Rainwater said. The child’s mother lives at the home.
Deputies established a perimeter around the subdivision and found the suspect, Rainwater said. He put the child down safely and gave up without incident.
Authorities have not released the juvenile’s name.
The suspect has been charged as an adult with murder and two counts of aggravated assault, Rainwater said. He was taken to a youth detention center.
After a search, the gun that was believed to be used was found near a house in the subdivision.
The incident is under investigation.
