Annie Leibovitz may not be quite as universally famous as the people she photographs — folks like Miley Cyrus and George W. Bush — but she’s more famous than anyone else who photographs them.

CELEBRITY PHOTOGRAPHER Annie Leibovitz could lose the rights to all her famed photographs Tuesday if she doesn't resolve a financial dilemma surrounding a $24 million loan.

LEIBOVITZ PUT up her photographs as collateral against the loan. The lender sued her for breach of contract in July, and some experts say her only option may be to declare bankruptcy.

THE PHOTOGRAPHER is famous for her iconic images of celebrities, including this 1980 photo of Yoko Ono and John Lennon, which was taken hours before his death.

FOR THE October 2006 issue of Vanity Fair, she photographed Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and baby Suri.

SHE SUBMERGED Whoopi Goldberg in a bathtub full of milk in 1984.
