Atlanta Public Schools’ students can pick up free backpacks stuffed with supplies at the district’s annual Back-to-School Bash.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Halls C1 and C2 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

Families are asked to register online by Thursday.

Atlanta schools start classes Monday.

Also, Atlanta City Council member Keisha Sean Waites is partnering with The Juicy Crab, for a back-to-school supply drive on Monday, starting at 11:30 a.m., for APS students at 1715 Howell Mill Road NW.

“Many families are still experiencing challenges and have unmet needs. Our goal is help as many families as possible,” Waites said in a statement.
