Lil Jon, fourth from left, performed on the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago during Georgia's turn for the ceremonial roll call. The Atlanta-based rapper hyped the crowd chanting, “We’re not going back!” He also sang “Turn Down for What,“ changing the words to “Turn Out for What,“ and “Get Low."

Late last month, the Houston rapper joined Harris and several other prominent Atlanta celebrities and political figures — from Migos’ Quavo to Stacey Abrams — at a rally at Georgia State University’s Convocation Center. Before launching into her song “Body,” Meg said to the crowd: “I know my ladies in the crowd love their bodies. And if you want to keep loving your body, you know who to vote for.” (Arvin Temkar / AJC)

The billionaire CEO of Tesla Motors endorsed Trump in July, minutes after Trump was injured during an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania. Musk wrote on X, a platform he owns: “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.” On Aug. 12, Musk led a two-hour conversation marred by technical difficulties with Trump on X, where they discussed the assassination attempt, illegal immigration and cutting the Department of Education. Former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama expressed support for Harris during a taped phone call uploaded to Harris’ YouTube channel.
“We called to say Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office,” said Barack Obama in the video. (AP Photo/Alex Brandon, File)

Taking the stage at last month’s Republican National Convention, the retired pro wrestler ripped open his T-shirt to reveal another emblazoned with the Trump-Vance campaign graphic. “Let Trump-a-mania run wild, brother,” Hogan said. “Let Trump-a-mania rule again. Let Trump-a-mania make America great again.” (Hyosub Shin / AJC)

Kerry Washington, left, took the stage at the DNC on the final night to endorse Kamala Harris with a cameo from Tony Goldwyn, her co-star in the hit series "Scandal." In early July, the actor, Democratic donor and longtime Joe Biden supporter penned an opinion piece for the New York Times urging Biden to exit his campaign for re-election. He wrote: “We are not going to win in November with this president.” After Biden suspended his campaign, Clooney was quick to endorse Harris. “We’re all so excited to do whatever we can to support Vice President Harris in her historic quest,” Clooney said in a statement to CNN. The model and television personality’s sentiments on Trump have changed since 2016, when she called the then-Republican nominee “such an idiot” in an interview with The Cut ahead of the election. Fast forward eight years, Amber Rose appeared at the RNC in support of Trump, saying to the crowd: “I’m here tonight to tell you, no matter your political background, that the best chance we have to give our babies a better life is to elect Donald Trump as President of the United States.” (Hyosub Shin / AJC)

The billionaire and “Shark Tank” personality is part of a group of 100+ venture capitalist investors, founders and tech leaders pledging to vote for Harris in the 2024 election. But there was a time when Cuban considered supporting Trump, he told entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy in an interview this month. Trump’s ethics steered him in the opposite direction. Cuban now supports Vice President Kamala Harris. “He was unethical then, and he’s still unethical,” said Cuban in the interview. He added: “You want somebody whose first inclination is not to do what’s in their own best personal interest. You can’t deny that’s Donald Trump.” (David Berding/Getty Images/TNS)

In a video posted to X ahead of the convention, he said: “We just arrived in Milwaukee to support our tried and true, red, white and blue, 100% American, badass president.” In July, he donated $50,000 to a GoFundMe campaign to support the families and victims of the shooting at Trump’s Pennsylvania rally. The rapper, who resides in Atlanta, wanted Vice President Kamala Harris at the top of the 2024 ticket from the get-go. During a June livestream prior to President Joe Biden’s exit from the campaign, Cardi B said: “I feel like it was very selfish of Biden and the whole Democrat party that they allow Biden to continue to run for president,” she said. “I feel like they should have passed the torch to Kamala.” After Harris launched her campaign, Cardi B took to Instagram to remind her followers of her support for the nominee. After Trump’s assassination attempt, YouTube personality and professional boxer Jake Paul, pictured here, posted on X: “I pray for peace and prosperity for the world and I believe Trump gives us the best chance at that.” His brother Logan Paul, another media personality and professional wrestler, then posted: “To survive an assassination attempt by mere millimeters then stop your security so you can raise your fist in defiance of death is the most badass thing I’ve ever seen in my life.” Logan Paul hosted Trump on his podcast in June, where they discussed artificial intelligence technology, the existence of aliens and the possibility of Jake Paul beating Mike Tyson in a fight. Barbra Streisand was one of the first artists to publicly express support for Vice President Kamala Harris, writing on X: “I love Joe Biden, and all the wonderful things he’s done for our country. Trump is a pathological liar who lies as easily as he breathes. He wants to take away women’s rights and destroy our great democracy. Kamala Harris will continue Joe Biden’s work and will be a great president.” Streisand later served as a guest speaker for the virtual Jewish Women for Kamala Harris fundraiser on Aug. 15. During his speech, White called Trump a fighter and the “toughest, most resilient human being” he had ever met. (Heidi Fang/Las Vegas Review-Journal/TNS)

A big potential endorsement hanging in the balance is one from Beyoncé, who has a history of endorsing Democratic candidates. Though the singer hasn't issued a formal statement in support of Harris, days after President Joe Biden stepped down from the race, Beyoncé gave Harris’ team permission to use her 2016 song “Freedom” throughout her presidential campaign. There is a rumor that the singer will make an appearance during this week's Democratic National Convention, though neither Beyoncé's team nor Harris' teams will confirm.
