Here are the celebrities endorsing Donald Trump and Kamala Harris

Presidential nominees Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have received support from a number of figures in entertainment.

Megan Thee Stallion and George Clooney are among celebrities who have endorsed Kamala Harris in the presidential election, while Elon Musk and Kanye West are among those endorsing Donald Trump. (Hysub Shin/AJC; AP file;

The billionaire CEO of Tesla Motors endorsed Trump in July, minutes after Trump was injured during an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania. In early July, the actor, Democratic donor and longtime Joe Biden supporter penned an opinion piece for the New York Times urging Biden to exit his campaign for re-election. The model and television personality’s sentiments on Trump have changed since 2016, when she called the then-Republican nominee “such an idiot” in an interview with The Cut ahead of the election. The billionaire and “Shark Tank” personality is part of a group of 100+ venture capitalist investors, founders and tech leaders pledging to vote for Harris in the 2024 election. But there was a time when Cuban considered supporting Trump, he told entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy in an interview this month. Trump’s ethics steered him in the opposite direction. Cuban now supports Vice President Kamala Harris. “He was unethical then, and he’s still unethical,” said Cuban in the interview. Also appearing before the RNC in July was Kid Rock, who supported Trump in his first term in office. The rapper, who resides in Atlanta, wanted Vice President Kamala Harris at the top of the 2024 ticket from the get-go. During a June livestream prior to President Joe Biden’s exit from the campaign, Cardi B said: “I feel like it was very selfish of Biden and the whole Democrat party that they allow Biden to continue to run for president,” she said. “I feel like they should have passed the torch to Kamala.” After Harris launched her campaign, Cardi B took to Instagram to remind her followers of her support for the nominee. A big potential endorsement hanging in the balance is one from Beyoncé, who has a history of endorsing Democratic candidates. Though the singer hasn't issued a formal statement in support of Harris, days after President Joe Biden stepped down from the race, Beyoncé gave Harris’ team permission to use her 2016 song “Freedom” throughout her presidential campaign. There is a rumor that the singer will make an appearance during this week's Democratic National Convention, though neither Beyoncé's team nor Harris' teams will confirm.
