State Bank & Trust names new CEO
J. Thomas Wiley, the president of State Bank & Trust, has been named the bank’s new CEO, the company said Thursday.
Wiley, who will take the new position Jan. 1, will report to Joe Evans, State Bank’s current chairman and CEO. Evans will retain the chairman post and will also remain the chairman and CEO of the bank’s parent company, State Bank Financial Corp.
The company operates in metro Atlanta and central Georgia, and was ranked as the 12th largest bank by deposits in Georgia, according to data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
