Forsyth County was the 13th fastest growing county in the U.S. by percentage of housing units, the U.S. Census says in numbers just released.

Forsyth added 2,085 homes between July 1, 2012, and July 1, 2013, for a growth rate of 3.2 percent. Forsyth County’s number of housing units now stands at 68,239, according to the Census count.

The U.S. leader was Williams County, North Dakota, which added fewer units, at 1,984, but because it has so many fewer houses to start with, the percentage of growth was higher at 15.6 percent.
