Alpharetta-based Radiant Systems acquired Texas Digital Systems, Inc., a digital signage and order confirmation display company.

Texas Digital develops displays for restaurants, theme parks, arenas and stadiums. It is based in College Station, Texas, and a company spokeswoman said the jobs will not be moved to metro Atlanta.

Last month, Radiant Systems was acquired by NCR Corporation, in Duluth, for $1.2 billion. The spokeswoman said until the transaction closes, Radiant will continue to operate as a separate company. It is expected to close in the third quarter.

The Texas Digital acquisition has already closed, but Radiant would not comment on the acquisition price or how many employees Texas Digital has.

Radiant Systems' chief operating officer Andy Heyman said in a statement that signage is "an emerging growth opportunity for Radiant."

"This acquisition enhances our ability to accelerate the adoption of digital signage," he said.
