Atlanta-based Radiance Solar has been awarded a $787,067 competitive grant by the Georgia Environmental Facility Authority.

The company's Georgia Non-Profit Solar Project was one of four projects to get GEFA funding, based on economic impact, visibility, and benefit to surrounding communities.

Under the project, photovoltaic energy systems will be installed for seven non-profit organizations in Georgia. The systems will help the groups cut their energy costs.

The grant is part of an on-going effort to invest in the state's renewable energy economy.
