Sandy Springs-based Newell Rubbermaid said Chief Financial Officer Doug Martin has resigned, effective Aug. 31.

Martin, who had been with the consumer products company for 27 years, is joining Middleton, Wis.-based Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc., another consumer products company, as executive vice president and CFO. He had been CFO at Newell Rubbermaid since 2012.

Spectrum’s brand roster includes Rayovac batteries, Black & Decker power tools, Kwikset locks and Remington shavers.

Newell Rubbermaid’s brands include Rubbermaid food containers, Calphalon pots and pans, Goody hair accessories and styling products and Levolor blinds.
