Dec 3, 2013

The Metro Atlanta Chamber introduced on Tuesday Delta Air Lines CEO Richard Anderson as the business coalition’s new chairman for 2014. Anderson succeeds Paul Bowers, the president and CEO of Georgia Power.

During the chamber’s annual meeting at the Marriott Marquis downtown, the powerful business organization also introduced Cousins Properties President and CEO Larry Gellerstedt as incoming chamber chairman for 2015, and Jenner Wood, the leader of the Atlanta and Georgia markets for SunTrust Banks, as chairman-elect for 2016.

Business leaders and dignitaries including Gov. Nathan Deal and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed also honored and bid farewell to longtime chamber president, Sam Williams, who is retiring after 17 years. Former restaurant and nonprofit executive Hala Moddelmog will take over the organization in January.
