Mars issues candy recall in 55 countries after plastic found

Mars has issued a recall on its candy bars due to plastic being found in one its products.
The Associated Press reports that the recall affects 55 countries across Europe and beyond, but Roel Govers, a Mars spokesman, declined to provide further details.
The company is expected to release a statement about the recall.
According to The AP, consumers in affected countries should not eat Mars, Milky Way, Snickers, Celebrations and Mini Mix with "best before" dates from June 19, 2016, to Jan. 8, 2017.
It is believed the recalled products were made in the Netherlands. Mars headquarters is based out of McLean, Virginia, and the compnay has a large international presence.
