Georgia banker added to FDIC advisory committee

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has added a Georgia banker to its Advisory Committee on Community Banking.

Derek Williams, the president and CEO of First Peoples Bank in Pine Mountain, was one of eight people named to the committee Tuesday. The group was created in 2009 and provides advice and recommendations on community bank policies.
