What will people do for free chicken sandwiches and waffle fries? Chick-fil-A is betting that plenty of folks will dress up as cows. The question is: how many people are that desperate?
Chick-fil-A restaurants will give a free meal to any customer who comes fully dressed as a cow today, which the Atlanta-based company has designated Cow Appreciation Day. Restaurants will also give a free entrée to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted hat, scarf or purse.
Cow Appreciation Day is now in its sixth year. Last year, more than 300,000 cow-clad customers visited Chick-fil-A restaurants in a range of get-ups, from cow-spotted t-shirts to full cow suits.
"It takes a loyal fan to dress like a cow for a free meal," said Steve Robinson, Chick-fil-A’s senior vice president of marketing.
