Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines is resuming its service from Atlanta to Santiago with a flight Wednesday evening, after discontinuing the route in the wake of the earthquake in Chile last weekend. Delta's regularly scheduled flights on the route will continue as normal on Thursday, according to spokesman Anthony Black.

The Santiago airport's passenger terminal was damaged during the earthquake, but reopened Sunday to a limited number of flights as service gradually resumes.
