Delta Air Lines announced a new senior vice president of corporate strategy and real estate, Holden Shannon, as part of a shift in its leadership team.
Shannon is a former senior vice president of system operations and real estate at Houston-based Continental Airlines, which has merged with Chicago-based United Airlines.
He will oversee Atlanta-based Delta's role in the completion of the new international terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to be completed in April 2012, as well as the expansion of Terminal 4 at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport to be completed in May 2013.
With the appointment, Delta's vice president of corporate real estate John Boatright will now report to Shannon.
Meanwhile, Delta's managing director of network strategy Jeff Arinder is being promoted to vice president of corporate strategy and business development. Wayne Aaron, who previously held that role, will become vice president of marketing programs and distribution strategy, reporting to senior vice president of marketing Tim Mapes.
